While
most activities are located around the Dwellingup area many are portable.
If you are camping at another location we can still assist with many
activities. For sites away from Dwellingup please use the quoted activity
costs as a guide only. All activities are based on a group size of about 20. Activity times can be structured to meet your timetable. The cost can be calculated by adding the cost of any hire equipment to instructor costs. |
| Abseiling/wall climbing/flying fox costed separately. Most activities will require only one instructor however you should discuss your needs in regard to water based activities with Dwellingup Adventures before hand. | |

EXPEDITION BASED MULTI ACTIVITY/MULTI LOCATION PROGRAMMES The
most challenging and potentially most rewarding outdoor experience.
Students are responsible for erecting shelter and their own cooking.
Each day provides a new mode of transport or a new activity. Programmes

ABSEILING/WALL CLIMBING/FLYING FOX Set
in Nanga Bush Camp among the tall Jarrah the 10 metre wooden tower provides
participants with a challenging climb and a chance to be among the tree
tops. Students are shown and demonstrate safety procedures, quality
of equipment, and competency of instructors. The emphasis is on trust
and the correct functioning of motor skills under stress. |

SUPER SPLASH DOWN From
an elevated platform students zip down the line and finish with a splash
in the river. Students Are shown and demonstrate safety procedures,
quality of equipment, and competency of instructors. |
CANOEING The
Murray River provides many kilometres of navigable water for short experiences
or extended canoe trips. Students are introduced to basic water safety,
personal safety equipment and the basics of paddling a Canadian canoe.
Experienced river guides/instructors available if required. |

FAST WATER RAFTING The Murray
River provides short sections that make an ideal introduction to white
water rafting with some grade 1 and 2 rapids Students are introduced
to basic water safety, personal safety equipment and the basics of paddling
a two person tube raft (seasonal) |
LOW
ROPES ACTIVITIES A
series of swinging, climbing, hoisting and balancing activities designed
to burn up some energy and have heaps of fun doing it too. A
series of problem solving activities and a chance to look at the teamwork
model in depth. We demonstrate by practical application effective communication,
strategies and planning and leadership models. |

YOU WIN I WIN GAMES A
series of non competitive cooperative activities where everybody wins.
Focuses on team-work and common goals. |

ADVANCED CAMP CRAFT Innovative
practical lessons on all of the camp craft skills required to
live in safety and comfort in the bush. First aid, camp cooking, navigation,
water procurement, equipment and minimal impact camping. |
EVENING ACTIVITY 'WHEEL OF MISFORTUNE' A
team game show based on the TV game format. A light hearted look at pickles,
plights and predicaments all with an outdoor flavour. Activity complete
with game compare and wheel. Caters for numbers from 10 to 100. |
| DISCOVER DWELLINGUP BY BIKE A
self guided tour of local points of interest. Visit the Dwellingup History
and Visitor Information Centre, Hotham Valley Railway, Forest Heritage
Centre, POW Camp or maybe ride the Marrinup Forest Tour and picnic along
the way. Bikes collected from and returned to our town office. Helmets
and water bottle gages supplied with each bike. |

| THE CASE OF 'THE MISSING BIKE’ A
local scoundrel has snitched a bike and left a series of clues to help
locate it. Students ride mountain bikes and by following the clues not
only recover the stolen bike part by part but discover the local scoundrel
to boot. Distance about 9 kms. Teacher supervision option, ask about conditions.

BUSH
CRAFT On
an imaginary hunt students see the bush as a friend rather than something
to be feared or conquered. Featuring the many and varied traditional uses
of the local flora and fauna and information on the hunter gatherer lifestyle
of the first inhabitants. |
ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS 'SPACESHIP PLANET EARTH' A
sensory exploration of the forest with the focus on doing, feeling, touching
and smelling. Helping to understand interrelationships, interdependencies
and communities of the forest environment |
